Outfit Post: Winter grey and checks

Jacket, Cropped knit, bag, and boots: ZARA
Leather trousers and necklace: Primark

Hi all !
Here is a new outfit post, one where I tried to change up the location a bit, as much as I do love my trusty wall. Here is one of my favourite spots in Rome, Giancolo. There is such a great view of Rome and I managed to fit in these shots, just before the sun went down.
In this look I have paired my checkered, monochrome jacket with a cropped chunky knit, for colder weather. The trousers are  pleather and I added a heel with these bedazzled boots. I love these, as they have a sort of a western feel to them, or at least I think so. I can wear them day or night, as they work really well with a skirt or dress.
The spiky necklace, makes an appearance again, I love it's modern touch.
I love the colour palette of this look. All cold, dark tones, yet this allows the jacket to shine as the statement piece.
What do you think of this look ?
That's all for now!

Trending: Update your festive party look, with a dark Lip

Hi all !
So I am not a beauty blogger and I have never claimed to be good at, never mind interested in beauty. I prefer fashion and my beauty bag is very sad. It contains the basics. I always wear liquid eyeliner and it has to be a very special occasion for me to break out the eyeshadow, of which I own three!
However, when it comes to lipsticks, it's a whole other ball game. I love a good lipstick. It must be matte and a bold colour, which always works really well, with my already barely there look. It brightens and smartens up any look, straight away. My current favourites are orange and bright pink, with blood red being a staple. I am, however, loving the dark lip, that is also in trend at the moment.
I don't think I am brave enough for black, also because it reminds me of dressing up as Morticia Adams for the Halloween, as a kid. I do have my eye on some deep berry/burgundy shades that aren't as severe. I hope to find the right colour for the Christmas season. I want to wear mine with pale greys and sparkly silvers, for an over all cool palette.
Any recommendations for me, on brands that do a great dark berry, matte colour ? Have you tried this look and what is your verdict?

That's all for now,
Dani xx

Outfit Post: Gone with the wind

Coat -Primark/Pennys, Jumper-ZARA, Jeans- River Island, Boots -ZARA, Bag - H&M,
Necklace -Primark/Pennys

Hi all !
Well here is a windy outfit post for you all. I am surprised I managed to get any photos at all, considering how blustery it was. I am wrapped up in this casual Sunday look, ready for some unsuccessful Christmas shopping ! I love these distressed jeans paired with my heavy knit. Comfortable and warm and smartened up with my pointed leather boots. It gets harder as the days get colder, so I think having a great coat is an essential part of the equation. I love this boyfriend style coat, as it goes with everything and keeps my look streamlined and put together.
What do you think of this look ? What are your tips for winter dressing ?

Pretty in Pink: My Pink Obsession

Hi all !
Sorry for the lack of posting on my behalf. I recently got a very exciting new job, as a Fashion PR Assistant, here in Rome, so that has been taking up most of my time. However I hope I am back on track, and I also should have a new outfit post coming by the weekend.
In the meantime here is a little insight into my rose coloured world. I am obsessed by pink as of late. I would never have considered myself a girly girly and I can't think of one thing I own that's pink. However this pink coat trend of winter has me salivating over the lookbook ladies and their sweet coloured outerwear. So much so I took to pinterest in a pink pinning frenzy only to end up buying a pink coat. It's a site I have never used, but I hope it will turn up eventually.
I am very excited to embrace this trend. Because it is such a light colour, I reckon it is perfect for upcoming Spring as well.
What are your thoughts on Pink ? Love it  or avoiding it like the black plague?

That's all for now,
Love,
Dani xx

Outfit Post: ZARA Furry front sweater

Hi all !
Continuing on the trend of the luxe sweater (as seen in previous blog post) here is my second (and definitely not the last) luxe sweater addition to my wardrobe. I have been waiting for it to get a bit cooler to break it out.
I got this as part of a collection of birthday gifts from Lorenzo. I loved it when I saw it and it reminded me of Victoria Beckham's pony haired versions. I am such a fan of the luxe sweater. I love the idea of taking a sports item, an item of comfort and something usually not classified as fashion and elevating it to an 'IT' status.Pairing a jumper with evening wear such as a heavily beaded, floor sweeping skirt or killer heels is so fresh, still, to me.
I am hoping it is a trend that sticks for a while, as I much prefer the undone vibe than anything heavily thought out or constructed.
Here I have paired the ZARA sweater with my ZARA trf faux leather skirt, knee suede boots from Sportsgirl, boxy bag from H&M and some cool rings I picked up in Primark on my trip to London.A slick of orange lippy, to match the pocket of my bag was final touch!

I am on the look out for my next statement sweater. Any suggestions?

That's all for now,
