Outfit Post: Zebra Shoes

CROPPED LEATHER JACKET | MASSIMO DUTTI
BLUE SHIRT | ZARA
BLUE JEANS | ABERCROMBIE & FITCH
ZEBRA FLATS | CB
BAG | GIFT

Here is the latest outfit post, from a very windy Sunday afternoon. The weather has been very temperamental here in Rome and I am looking forward to the summer arriving, whenever that will be.
I think this look is the perfect example of how I like to dress on my time off. I like to keep it casual and comfortable with a classic pair of blue jeans and my favourite leather jacket. I always like to include at least one statement piece, so here I have added my zebra flats. The look is perfect for a day shopping and even for evening drinks with friends, should the day lead into night.

I hope you like the look!

Outfit Post: Jacket Weather

CROPPED JUMPER | ZARA
BLACK SKINNY JEANS | DR DENIM
MILITARY JACKET | BERSHKA
BOOTS | TOPSHOP
BAG | VINTAGE
RING | GIFT
There is nothing better than leaving the house in a jacket (or in my case semi-jacket), without being weighed down by the heaviness of an overbearing coat. Spring has started to peek it's head out over the last few weeks and I have to admit I am happy to see the sun again.
These photos were taken at my favourite spot in Rome, Giancolo. It is the perfect setting for some sunny shots of Rome in all it's glory. The look is simple, with a jumper and black jeans, but I added my tough lace up boots from Topshop and military inspired jacket from Berska for that fashion edge.

What do you think of this look? Is it jacket weather where you are yet?

Outfit Post: White coat

WHITE BIKER COAT | PRIMARK /PENNYS
BLACK POLO NECK | BORROWED
BLACK JEANS | DR DENIM
BURGUNDY CHELSEA BOOTS | MASSIMO DUTTI
BAG | ZARA

Last Sunday the sun was shining so I went for a walk in Villa Pamphili, the biggest green space in Rome. This open space is home to beautiful Palazzos and a lake full of turtles. One of my favourite things is the maze garden, which you can't enter unfortunately.
I worked this look around the white biker coat, which I got when I was home in Ireland last Christmas. I am always afraid to purchase anything white, but this coat was a stand out piece that I couldn't leave behind. I decided to pair it with all black, in an attempt at channeling a mod look.

What do you think of this look?

Sunday Brunch in Villa Borghese

ZIG ZAG BLACK AND WHITE  SHIRT| PRIMARK/PENNYS
CROPPED SHAGGY JUMPER | PRIMARK/PENNYS
SPIKED COLLAR NECKLACE | PRIMARK/PENNYS
POINTED BOOTS | ZARA
Here are some pictures from last weekend, when Spring seemed to be in the air. This weekend has been a different story, with rain, wind and the glorious sunshine from last week, no where to be seen.
Taking advantage of the good weather, Lorenzo and I went for brunch in Villa Borghese. We took a walk around first and I couldn't resist taking a "few" photos. The gardens are beautiful with a fountain on every corner. The main one was closed as they are cleaning it, but I definitely want to go back for another proper look.
Green spaces are so important in a city like Rome. I honestly felt like I had been transported to another world. It is a great place to get away from the noise and traffic and just breathe some fresh air.

It is a definite must see, should you visit Rome.

That's all for now,

Outfit post: Leopard hat and boots

Hat | Vintage Find
Coat | Primark
Jumper | Massimo Dutti mens ( Lorenzo's shrunk jumper)
Jeans | Dr Denims
Boots | Gift
Gold Necklace | Accessorize
Bag | H&M

Sometimes when it rains, there is nothing I love more than putting on my leopard hat and pretending to be Indiana Jones. And as if the hat wasn't enough, I throw on my leopard ankle boots for good measure. I don't own many hats, so when I wear this one out I am being braver than usual. I know it seems a bit much, but it's probably what I like most about this look!
I feel really cosy in this look, which is essentially a jumper and jeans, but I love the chic element that the hat adds to it. I definitely want to try to wear hats more. It's important to get the right shape, as I have a very small face, so I can sometimes get swamped by anything too over powering. For example beanies are not my friend!
What is you verdict on the hat? Do you wear them and if you do how?
