Trend: Fruity swimwear from River Island

River Island

River Island

River Island

With the intentions of heading to a warmer climate, sooner rather than later, I am loving the fruity swimwear that River Island has on offer. A little bit retro and very colourful, they are the perfect option to take you from a lazy day on the beach to cocktails at sunset.

Forget cowboy boots and Coachella, this Spring/Summer 2014 is all about the luxe fringe. Accessories are in luxurious, deep jewel tones, expensive suedes and soft leathers. Graceful evening gowns swish and sway with touches of the eclectic decoration, while your shoes are tasselled up in an ode to The Great Gatsby.
Forever a little Rock 'n' Roll, fringe can't relinquish it's roots, playfully adding a luxe bohemian edge to leather jackets and satchel handbags.
So this summer leave your moccasin boots at home (sorry Kate!) and opt for some fringed up sandals and the must have backpack of the season. Remember it's all about a sleek and put together look, so keep your outfit tailored and keep your fringe to accents only. Leave the total look to Pocahontas and Ms Moss.

Outfit Post: SS14's blue trend

COAT | PRIMARK/PENNYS
DENIM SHIRT | ZARA
CROPPED JUMPER | ZARA
EMBROIDERED LEATHER PANTS | ZARA
POINTED CHELSEA BOOTS | ZARA
BAG | MARC BY MARC JACOBS

Here is an outfit post from a VERY windy day and it was lucky neither I nor my photographer got blown away. With much perseverance and patience we managed to get a few shots.
Blue is a huge trend for SS14 and ZARA is one of the high street stores that is already bursting with hue, even though most of these items are from their AW13 collection.
Blue has never been one of my favourite colours, I always felt blonds look better in blue, but my recent purchase of this blue Marc by Marc Jacobs bag changed all that. I loved it's bold cobalt colour and I worked this outfit around it.

What do you think of this look?

 Hi all!
So remember those silver Oxfords that I was banging on about last week and that inspired this post, well they finally put them online, along with the new Max&Co lookbook for Spring/Summer 2014.
I love the young preppy, yet edgy vibe of this brand. The quality is top class and the price tag is worth what you get. There is always lots of print and colour, with slightly masculine buttoned all the way up shirts, tailored pants in bold colours and feminine skirts.
This season they have included all the key trends, from metallics to pastels and their campaign is just a teaser for all the hypnotic prints we have yet to see!
I have picked some of my favourite images from the campaign. In image 1, I am lusting after that striped coat in pale pink and silver (well that's what it seems to be) and in image 3 I am hyperventilating at all that mesmerising print, especially the short sleeve jacket. The single items I have posted are all currently available and you can click the link below each image to go directly to the website.

What is your favourite piece?
